Come with Suzy and me to explore Kilauea Caverns of Fire
Suzy and I recently visited Kilauea Caverns of Fire, a natural wonder located on the Big Island of Hawaii. As we descended into the lava tube, we were immediately transported to a world unlike any we have ever experienced before.
The lava tube, formed over 500 years ago, and was an otherworldly maze of winding tunnels and caverns. The walls were adorned with intricate lava formations and there were the sounds of dripping water that made our shirts wet.
One of the highlights of our visit was witnessing the “candle-like” stalactites and stalagmites that dotted the cavern walls. These formations, created by molten lava dripping from the ceiling and floor, were a testament to the incredible power of nature.
