Kehena Beach

Kehena Beach: We love this classic Puna black sand and palm tree beach. It one of the most popular beaches on Eastern side of the Big Island. We usually get a good chuckle at the people watching with the drum circles, closing optional vibe. We love the drive to this beach because it is along the Kalapana Coast on the Old Red Road. I think the Red Road is one of the most scenic roads in Hawaii. Kehena Beach is only a short drive from Ala Kai Bed and Breakfast.
