Green Sand Beach

Green Sand Beach: The first time we saw this beach, we just stood there with our mouths hanging open. Yes, it really is green and no, the picture does not do the green sand justice. Suzy says that you should try to ride in one of the four wheel drive trucks ($20 per person) to try to sit in the cab because the 2 mile road it deeply rutted and bumpy. The green sand is a gem stone and comes from an old cinder cone nearby The Green Sand Beach is a short drive from Ala Kai Bed and Breakfast.
