The garden was founded in 1978 by Dr. Leland C. "Buddy" Tiffany, and it serves as both a research facility and a public attraction. The garden is home to a vast collection of tropical plants, including over 2,000 species of palms, heliconias, gingers, and other tropical plants. Visitors can take guided tours of the garden to learn about the plants, their uses, and their cultural significance. In addition to its botanical collection, the garden also features several water features, including waterfalls, streams, and ponds.
